Boots
Founder
Nicknames: Bootsel, Cookie Monster, Bootsy Boots

Personality: Very social. Loves the all-over body massage. Gets "lost" in the pasture and cries when he can't see both his girls and The Boy Band at the same time, or when it's dark and he doesn't want to leave the fence line but the other boys have gone to bed.

History: Boots is our first cow and the "Boots" in Bossy Boots Ranch.

Stats: HighPark Yearling (Aug 2020), Polled, 36" at 18 mo so projected to be a full 000 miniature, Chondro+
TT
CEO
Nickname: Big Boy, Dub T

Personality: TT's original name was Tank Top, and he doesn't disappoint. He's a little big bull and he has been known to lower his block head and push back both the other boys in the Boy Band at the same time. And while he takes cookies from our hand and grain from our bucket, he's the epitome of the No Petting videos.

History: TT was purchased as a herd sire from MiniMoo Ranch, and we can't wait to see his calves.

Stats: Belted Galloway Yearling (May 2020), Polled, 36" at 20 mo so projected to be a full 00 miniature, Chondro+
Varys
Babysitter in Training
Nickname: Who needs a nick-name when your real name is so cool?

Personality: Varys is usually a pretty chill dude, but he doesn't mind challenging TT. He really wants those cookies, but not if it comes with a scritch on the head.

History: Varys came to our herd from Nebraska, specifically to be a babysitter in our herd management plans.

Stats: Belted Galloway (without a belt...) Yearling (Aug 2020), Polled, 36" at 18 mo so projected to be a mid-sized 1 miniature, non-Chondro
Lelo
The Manager
Nickname: Big Mama, Beeyotch, Oh Lawd She Coming

Personality: Lelo is sweet and beeyotchy at the same time. We often joke that she should've been renamed bossy, but her name's been Lelo for too long to change it now. She's everyone's mom, she's got the stink eye down, and they do what she says. (including her hoomans)

History: Lelo came to us from MiniMoo Ranch when she was big and pregnant.

Stats: Belted Galloway, 7 years old (2014), 3 calves, Polled, 45", non-chondro

Calves: Jester, heifer born April 2021. Bred to TT for a June 2022 calf.
Bossy
Well, she's Bossy
Nickname: Bossy, what else do you need?

Personality: Bossy got her name on her ride home where she was ornery and kicked everyone! It took a few days in the pasture with Lelo to turn that around. She's pretty sweet and loves to batt her big brown eyes at you, but she also knows what she wants and doesn't mind challenging all the other girls for what she thinks is hers. Cookies, yes! Petting, no!

History: Bossy came to us from a small ranch in UT.

Stats: Dun Highland Yearling (Aug 2020), Horned, 38" at 16 mo so projected to be a mid-sized 2 miniature, non-chondro

Calves: Bred to Boots for a Sept calf.
Peanut
The Middle Child
Nickname: Peanutty Peanut, Sweet Girl, Boot's Girlfriend

Personality: She's pretty calm, but doesn't take any sh**. When we picked Peanut up and drove her 14 hours across the country, she didn't even seem to stress at all. Trailered well, ate and drank along the trip, unloaded ... all good. Even now she just chills. Unless she's giving a surreptitious head butt to Jester when Lelo isn't looking.

History: We drove all the way to Ohio to get Peanut from a rancher who got her in a herd of full sized highlands. We don't know much about her except that she's got a great temperament to go with her fluffy fluff.

Stats: White Highland Yearling (April 2019), Polled, 38" at 2 yo so projected to be a full 00 miniature, non-chondro

Calves: Bred to Boots for a June calf.
Tink
Shyness epitomized
Nickname: Tinkster, Little Girl, Teeny (2nd fr left in the pic)

Personality: The shyest of the shy and the littlest of the little. For the longest time she really really wanted cookies along with the other girls, but just couldn't bring herself to do it and hid behind everyone's legs. We originally named her Pixie, but watching her run the first time and we knew her name was Tink -- prancing and princessing across the field.

History: Tink came to us from Nebraska.

Stats: Belted Galloway Yearling (Aug 2020), Polled, 32" at 18 mo so projected to be a full 000 miniature, non-Chondro

Calves: Bred to TT for a Sept calf.
Ginger
Gilligan's Girls
Nickname: One of the Gilligan's Island Girls

Personality: By far the sweetest and most social of The Gilligan's Island Girls. She'll let everyone pet her, but she mostly has eyes for Cooper. Unfortunately she's quite the bottom of the totem pole in the herd so we have to keep an eye out for her. And she turned into quite the grass puppy while she was in the maternity pen.

History: Got from an exotic animal broker out of Penrose, who loved all his animals including his highlands, but was finding new homes for everyone because of a family intervention.

Stats: Red highland or highland cross, ~ 3 years old, About 42"

Calves: Millie, heifer born Feb 2022
Marianne
Gilligan's Girls
Nicknames: One of the Gilligan's Island Girls

Personalities: Pretty chill, yet the #2 (behind who else, Lelo) and she knows it. Doesn't socialize much with the rest of the herd, but is watchful.

Lovey
Gilligan's Girls
Nicknames: One of the Gilligan's Girls

Personalities: Lovey ... is not very lovey. But she knows what she wants and isn't afraid to challenge anyone else in the herd to get it. She is learning learning respect, so that's good!

Jester
Our first calf
Nickname: Baby, Sweetie, Cutie

Personality: Even at only a few months old, we knew Jester was a keeper, as sweet as can be. At 9 mo old she still is curious and inquisitive, loves the full body massage, and always comes running to see us. Jester was dam raised and has been healthy and happy.

History: First calf delivered on our farm, dam is Lelo and sire is MiniMoo Ranch Maui.

Stats: Belted Galloway weanling (April 2021), Polled, 36" at 9 mo so projected mid-sized miniature like her mom

Gilligan
Fast boi
Nicknames: Gilli

Millie's dam is Ginger, and she takes after her mother's small-frame and non-chondro genes, making her perfect for either a small framed standard or chondro bull breeding program. Or even as a sweet grass puppy.
